Chika Nishizono is the protagonist of the 12th Chapter of Zekkyou Gakkyuu. She's best known for being a fast runner. She has never been the "demon" in a game of tag.

Appearance[]

Chika is a tomboy with short hair pulled into a ponytail held by cubical baubles. Her neatly brushed bangs and nose-length forelocks frame her face. Her casual attire is simple and easy to move in, composed of tops with denim shorts and a short sleeved hoodie.

Personality[]

Chika is a confident braggart when it comes to her tag-playing skills and fast speed, she also has a temper. She can be cowardly and self-serving as a result, and mercilessly made fun of Hiroko when she was alive- she continued to insult her afterwards while attempting to make amends. However, she does express concern towards her classmate when she seemed trouble.

History[]

Chika enjoys a game of tag one morning before class begins when she notices a classmate who appears uneasy. Later she offers to let the girl vent to her and reacts with shock when the girl tells her the story of the tag-playing ghost who appeared in her nightmare. She apologizes for getting Chika involved because now it will spread to her, and Chika spends the rest of the day angry. When the Teacher noticed Chika decides to tell her the nightmare, and she is alarmed to find out that she got sick and went to the hospital the next day. She claimed to feel ill and left the classroom before their substitute could repeat the story their Teacher told him.

Soon the story began to spread and everyone experienced the dream with the exception of Chika and her friends. The girls realize their descriptions of the monster sound like Hiroko, a classmate who vanished back in first grade. They ask the substitute Teacher about her and were shocked to learn that she died in an accident, and the girls begin to worry that she is seeking revenge, so they visit her old home in order to pay their respects. They are told that she is still alive and Chika becomes frustrated, but relieve to know they should be okay.

One day while her mom was conversing with someone on the phone when she overhears her talk about the tag-playing ghost. She panics and runs to her bedroom to search for someone to repeat the story to but gets no response, causing her to worry until she remembers her status as the best runner. She's never been tagged once, so she should easily be able to face the ghost and end these nightmares. Unfortunately, Chika realizes that she wasn't prepared when Hiroko's ghost easily manages to keep up with her. She begs for someone to help her wake up and trips, allowing Hiroko to tag her.

Some time passes by and Chika is revealed to have went into a coma during sixth grade, the same mysterious circumstances as Hiroko, who went into a coma in first grade and is in the next room. As they wonder what happened, Chika begs for someone to wake her up while endlessly being chased by Hiroko.
