Shiori is Yuu Mizuki's neighbor and childhood friend from The Birth of Yomi.

Appearance[]
Shiori is an average looking girl, with slightly curved eyes and neck-length hair barely touching her shoulder. Her bangs are brushed to the side.
Personality[]
Yuu describes her as having a strong personality. She's smart and brave, with a big sister nature around those she cares about or may be in need. She used to take care of him when they were little, and she stood up for a girl being bullied. She's put together and knows how to handle herself, and she has a bright smile that can cheer up anyone in the worst times.
History[]
Shiori comes by to drop off something Yuu forgot and before going, she greets her friends. But when they hurriedly run off to avoid speaking to her, he offers to step in and have a word with them. Shiori reminds him that he can't handle a fight and Yuu shows offense, but she assures him that everything will be fine. It's nothing serious yet.
Later, while Yuu attempted to figure out what to do about his ghost sighting, Shiori showed up to speak to him about something. But he decided to confide in her about the ghost, and by the time he remembered that she wanted something, she became too flustered and left. A few days later, Yuu eventually shows up to Shiori's classroom to speak to her about the gift he got for the ghost girl. Some girls nearby seem to overhear them and everyone from her class heads outside to visit the shrine behind the school. They rip off the tags of the shrine to protect themselves from the ghost and make their way up to the room.
As this is going on, Yuu stops by Shiori's class to return her skirt. But in the process, he was shocked to discover mean writing all over her desk. He asks her friends -who were trying to leave without being noticed- when this bullying started. Then he makes his way up to Home EC to see her classmates trying to force her to strip for refusing to step into the room to get the ghost's picture. She was nearly stripped by a male classmate when Yuu came to her defense, nearly beating the boy to death. Shiori was frightened and begged him to quit, but this did nothing until darkness from the despair god began to flood the room. Shiori could hear Yuu chatting with Yumi but she couldn't see anything.
Later, she joins Yuu in visiting the shrine. They learned more about the god from the shrine and Shiori happily noticed that the experience helped Yuu as a person.
