Inoue (井上) is Yuuki Hasegawa's and Kaha's classmate from Girls and Boys.

Inoue is a handsome young man with curved eyes and light colored hair that frames his face.
Personality[]
Inoue enjoys things like basketball and hanging out with the other guys. He's very kind though, and he's willing to stand up to the other guys if he witnesses things like bullying. He doesn't share the same crude sense of humor the others seem to indulge in. He's considered to be admirable to many.
History[]
Inoue is first brought up when Yuuki Hasegawa has to listen to Kaha go on about him one day in class. She spent this time observing their male classmates when she came to the decision that they have a better, carefree life that she feels she can't have as a girl. After being brought to Boy Yuuki's world, Yuuki was surprised to discover he was friends with Inoue, and they started hanging out.
She eventually began to realize that she had feelings for him, which perturbed her as she couldn't say anything. Until he approached her and asked to speak in private. Yuuki agreed and he started to ask her if she liked anyone, something he was convinced was there because he usually caught her looking at someone. Yuuki was surprised, but when she realized he might like Boy Yuuki back, she hurriedly confessed it was him that she liked. This alarmed Inoue, who confessed that he thought she liked Kaha.
This action unfortunately damaged their friendship, through the implication that Inoue was only asking because he liked Kaha. When everyone in class starts picking on Yuuki, Inoue was avoiding her the entire time and refused to say anything. This most-likely was the reason for Yuuki murdering him after the other boys began to harass her.
In Girl Yuuki's world, Inoue was still alive. The boys were frightened when Yuuki returned to class wielding the bloodied scissors, as she realized that Boy Yuuki killed the girls.
Etymology[]
- The surname Inoue means "well, mine shaft, pit" (井) (i) and "above, top, upper" (上) (ue), which literally means "above the well" altogether.
